Board of Directors

As United Heritage members themselves, each Board member is personally invested in one main goal: ensuring UHCU continues to provide superior, personalized service to every member, while remaining financially sound.

May Lofgreen, CCD

May Lofgreen is Chairman of the United Heritage Board of Directors, a position she has held since 1994, and has been a UHCU member since 1977. She has served as Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary/Treasurer since her appointment to the United Heritage Board in 1983. Mrs. Lofgreen graduated from The Credit Union Directors Leadership Institute, where she earned the prestigious designation of Certified Credit Union Director (CCD).

Mrs. Lofgreen has held positions ranging from Executive Assistant for the Director and Administrator of the Archives of the Episcopal Church, USA to Church Treasurer, Business Manager and Director of Operations for the Historical Society of the Episcopal Church. She attended the University of Florida and the College of Charleston.

Harold Keyes, CCD

Harold Keyes has been a member of the United Heritage Board of Directors since 1995 and has been a UHCU member since 1983. He served on the Supervisory Committee from 1983 to 1995, and served as Chairman from 1993 to 1995. He currently holds the position of Vice Chairman of the United Heritage Board of Directors. Mr. Keyes graduated from The Credit Union Directors Leadership Institute, where he earned the prestigious designation of Certified Credit Union Director (CCD).

Mr. Keyes’ background includes 29 years of active duty and 14 years of civil service in the United States Air Force in the Logistics Management career field. He retired from active military duty in 1993 as a Chief Master Sergeant, and retired from civil service in 2007 as Chief of Supply at Randolph Air Force Base. Mr. Keyes holds an Associates’ Degree in Logistics Management, and serves as a Youth Pastor in the Montopolis community.

James E. North, CCD

James E. North is Secretary/Treasurer of the United Heritage Board of Directors and has been a UHCU member since 1977. He served as Chairman of the Supervisory Committee one year before his election in 1981 to the Board of Directors. As a board member, he served as Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary/Treasurer. Mr. North graduated from The Credit Union Directors Leadership Institute, where he earned the prestigious designation of Certified Credit Union Director (CCD).

Mr. North is a retired Major of the United States Air Force and a Certified Public Accountant. Following Air Force retirement, he served on the administrative staff of Austin Community College until his retirement in 2007. Mr. North holds a degree from Louisiana State University and an MBA from the University of Utah.

John T. Keller, CCD

John T. Keller has been a member of the United Heritage Board of Directors since 1978 and has been a UHCU member since 1971. Mr. Keller served as Chairman of the Board in 1981, 1982, 1989, 1990 and 1991. He graduated from The Credit Union Directors Leadership Institute, where he earned the prestigious designation of Certified Credit Union Director (CCD).

Mr. Keller is a 30-year veteran of the United States Air Force, and retired in 1981 as a Chief Master Sergeant. His background includes a variety of supervisory, personnel management and financial positions, including two years attendance at McMurray University. He is also a retired Lieutenant of the Travis County Sheriff's Department.

H. Ralph Wilburn, PHD, CCD

Dr. Wilburn has been a member of the United Heritage Board of Directors since 1999 and has been a UHCU member since 1980. Prior to his appointment to the Board of Directors, Dr. Wilburn served on the Supervisory Committee for four years, two of those as Chairman. He graduated from The Credit Union Directors Leadership Institute, where he earned the prestigious designation of Certified Credit Union Director (CCD).

Dr. Wilburn retired from the United States Air Force in 1984 as a Chief Master Sergeant with 30 years of service. Throughout his USAF career he’s held numerous financial and management positions, and holds a master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Pepperdine University along with a doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Wilburn is an adjunct faculty professor in the MBA program at St. Edward’s University.

Grady N. Elliott, CCD

Grady Elliott has been a member of the United Heritage Board of Directors since 2001 and has been a UHCU member since 1984. Prior to his appointment to the Board of Directors, Mr. Elliott served as Chairman of the Supervisory Committee. He graduated from The Credit Union Directors Leadership Institute, where he earned the prestigious designation of Certified Credit Union Director (CCD).

Mr. Elliott retired from the United States Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant in 1984 after 30 years of service. In the course of his tour of duty, Mr. Elliott served as Executive Officer to the Base Commander and Command Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Wing Commander. While serving, he attended various senior level personnel management and professional courses. A graduate of Alabama State University, Mr. Elliott possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in Education/Sociology. After retiring from the military, he was employed as Manager of the Personal Financial Management Program at Bergstrom Air Force Base.

Tommy Lueders

​Tommy Lueders joined the Board of Directors as an associate member in 2014 and was elected as a member of the Board in 2016. He has been a UHCU member since 2008. Mr. Lueders is a lawyer specializing in defense of workers’ compensation cases throughout the state of Texas. He received his undergraduate degree from Austin College in Sherman, Texas, and his JD from Texas Tech School of Law. He is licensed to practice before the US District Court, Western District of Texas and also serves as a member of the State Bar of Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
