Posted on November 20, 2015 Your Money 18 comments

United Heritage Credit Union is excited to announce an Online Banking upgrade that will bring members increased functionality and an enhanced Online Banking experience. The upgrade won't require any changes to your secure sign in information or disrupt your account access, and there will be no change to any of your scheduled transfers or scheduled bill payments.

Coming in 2016, you'll notice new features within your UHCU Online Banking account. Some of the new features included with the Online Banking upgrade are:

  • Touch authentication for iOS devices
  • More intuitive navigation with larger buttons and icons
  • Streamlined look and feel to provide a consistent user experience across all devices
  • Access to detailed transaction information
  • Improved search options

We will provide more details regarding the UHCU Online Banking upgrade and an updated, comprehensive Online Banking Guide closer to its launch.

Hi Joe,

Thank you for your feedback. We recently completed updates to several of our systems in order to improve security. As part of this, eStatement access is now only available within Online Banking (www.uhcu.org/onlinebanking). We are happy to assist with the sign-in process. Please give us a call at 512.435.4545 to discuss.

Sincerely,
UHCU

Is there a way to order a new debit card online? My debit card finally gave in to all the years of abuse. :-/

Will UHCU finally get mobile check cashing? So many other institutions already have it.

Hi Cooper,

We are doing some upgrades to our mortgage processing system and for the time being have consolidated the My Mortgage link to one area on this page: https://www.uhcu.org/Member-Services/My-Accounts

We apologize for any confusion and appreciate your understanding. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Sincerely,
UHCU

The last three upgrades have actually been downgrades, requiring more clicking, slower response taking longer to complete simple tasks. The last upgrade has functions that leave you in the middle of a blank page where you have to manually scroll to the top to see where you are. The only new feature was the ability to transfer funds to other financial institutions. While this is not UHCU's fault, the other financial institutions I deal with charge fee's if I were to use this feature. I truly hope this is an upgrade.

Hi Raymond,

We’re sorry to hear you’re having issues with Online Banking. Secure Access Codes are a valuable tool that provide our members an added layer of security for account protection. However, Secure Access Codes should only be required the first time you access your account on a new computer or browser.

The issues you’re experiencing are likely caused by certain browser settings. Using private browsing, “incognito” settings or clearing your web history/cache on a regular basis (this could be done automatically through certain security or antivirus software) could trigger a Secure Access Code requirement upon each sign in. We recommend checking your privacy settings and making sure you have cookies enabled. Please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any additional questions.

Sincerely,
UHCU

Glad to see these changes coming. I will start using my on-line banking after the changes are installed and tested. Thanks for the hard work.

Your system loses track of my computer too often and requires me to continually recertify my computer with a new access code. This is an unnecessary complication in the name of security.
Besides being irritating it makes me question how this security feature is validated in your system so that it keeps losing my computer's identity.
