Arby’s Data Breach

United Heritage Credit Union makes every effort to ensure the safety of your private financial information. For this reason, we are alerting you to a security breach that has occurred at certain Arby's fast food locations. If your account was affected, United Heritage will reach out to you directly.

Arby's told security blog Krebs on Security, which reported the findings on Thursday, that the fast food retailer recently remediated the breach, which involved malicious software installed on cash registers at hundreds of Arby's stores around the U.S. Arby's added that the breach affected only corporate locations and not franchises.

Arby's was first notified by industry partners in mid-January about a breach at some locations, according to the Krebs on Security post. Arby's did not say how long the corporate payment systems may have been affected, though a non-public alert issued by service organization PSCU estimates the breach occurred between October 25, 2016, and January 19, 2017.
