At United Heritage, we work hard to create a culture of customer service that sets us apart from other financial institutions. It starts with our employees. From the simplest deposit to working through a more challenging transaction or financial situation, each member of our staff is personally invested in the success and happiness of our members.

It’s something we do every day. We’re proud to share a few of their stories here.

Going the extra mile, sometimes literally.

There are times when life gets in the way of making it to the bank, no matter how important the transaction – like the time a United Heritage member’s mother was in the hospital and the member needed crucial documents notarized. Her big bank offered no help. But Nelson, a UHCU branch manager, drove to the hospital and notarized the documents himself. For Nelson, it’s personal.

Soaking-wet service.

Imagine you’re making a routine trip to the drive-thru, when your car stalls and won’t restart. Then add one of those torrential Texas downpours to the mix. When this happened at one of our branches, Manny, a UHCU teller, ran out into the rain to help jump-start the member’s car. He may have gotten drenched in the process, but for Manny, it’s personal.

We’re here for you (even when you’re not).

One of our members often travels with his wife for weeks at a time. When the team at his UHCU branch knows he’s out of town, they keep an eye on his account, watch for signs of fraud and confirm his bill payments are processed without issue – all so he can relax and enjoy his vacation. At all of our branches, it’s personal.

Making the switch, without a hitch.

We know that the process of moving an account from your old bank to UHCU may feel daunting. So we’re here to help – like when Danielle, a United Heritage representative, helped a member switch all of his direct deposits from another financial institution to United Heritage. Because she knew the member wasn’t comfortable handling the process on his own, she walked him through the entire process, called a variety of state and government agencies, collected forms and ensured he’d filled them out correctly. For Danielle, it’s personal.
