Online Banking Update

UHCU Online Banking got an upgrade! A number of exciting new features are now available within UHCU Online Banking, such as:

  • Improvements to Web BillPay functionality
  • The option to reconfigure your home screen
  • The ability to create groups for your accounts
  • 4-digit PIN authentication*
  • Facial recognition (Face ID) for Apple iPhone X users*

Some of the most utilized settings that did not change include account access, secure sign-in information, previously scheduled transfers and previously scheduled bill payments.

Update Your Phone Number(s)

The safety and convenience of your Online Banking access are extremely important to us. As an added measure of security to your United Heritage account, the option to receive an Online Banking Secure Access Code by email will no longer be available. You can safely and quickly receive a Secure Access Code by phone call or text message.

There are two easy options to ensure the phone numbers on your account are current and you will receive your Secure Access Code promptly when needed.

  • 1. Review the number(s) listed within Online Banking. Add, edit or delete your phone number(s) by selecting the "Security" link in your Online Banking navigation menu, then selecting the "Secure Delivery" tab. See Example
  • 2. Speak to a UHCU representative for personal assistance. Call the Telephone Service Center at 512.435.4545, 903.597.7484 or 800.531.2328 Monday–Friday, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM CST.


Troubleshooting

Prompted for a Secure Access Code at Every Sign In

If you are prompted for a Secure Access Code each time you sign in to Online Banking, you may need to update a security setting within your browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, etc.) to enable third-party cookies. Please view the Online Banking Optimal Browser Settings guide for further information or call the Telephone Service Center at 512.435.4545, 903.597.7484 or 800.531.2328 Monday–Friday, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM CST.

Please note: You will continue to be prompted for a Secure Access Code if your browser is set to "private" or "incognito" mode.

Not Receiving SMS Text Messages with Secure Access Code

If you requested a Secure Access Code via SMS text message and did not receive it, you may need to activate SMS capability on your cell phone. To activate SMS capability, text "Start" to 86434 from the cell number listed within Online Banking. Once you receive a confirmation message, you will be able to receive a Secure Access Code via SMS text message.

If you see your cell phone number listed as a Secure Access Code delivery option while signing in to Online Banking and it does not list "(SMS Text Message)" to the right of the number, you need to add the number as an SMS Text Number within your Online Banking account. Select the "Security" link in your Online Banking navigation menu, then select the "Secure Delivery" tab. Once the tab is opened, click the "Add Delivery Contact" button next to the key icon for a dropdown menu and select "New SMS Text Number" to add a number. See Example
