United Heritage Credit Union (UHCU) has donated $8,400 to the Austin Humane Society (AHS) as part of its Buy a House, Get a Puppy campaign. The campaign paired UHCU’s home loan program with support for animals in need, contributing funds to AHS for every home financed during the promotional period.
The initiative gave homebuyers more to feel good about during the home buying process by allowing their mortgage to make a meaningful impact. Each funded home loan generated a donation that directly supports the shelter’s mission to provide lifesaving care, adoption services, and resources to animals across Central Texas. We’re proud to partner with the Austin Humane Society and support the incredible work they do for pets and families in our community,” said Chelsea Schrimpf, AVP of Marketing. “This campaign connected the excitement of buying a new home with the joy and comfort animals bring, and our members embraced it.”
The Austin Humane Society is Austin’s longest-standing no-kill shelter, providing essential services including adoption placement, veterinary care, foster programs, and disaster response.
This campaign reflects UHCU’s ongoing commitment to serving its members and strengthening the communities it calls home.
