United Heritage Credit Union (UHCU) recently concluded its community school supply drive, collecting over 500 notebooks, backpacks, pencils, folders, and other supplies to donate to the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center (WCCAC) and the Tyler ISD Foundation.
The donation was made possible through contributions from UHCU employees, members, and community supporters who participated in the drive across all 11 UHCU branch locations. Contributions included essential classroom items to help ensure local students have the supplies they need as they begin the new school year. The donated supplies will benefit children and families supported by WCCAC in Williamson County, as well as students across Tyler ISD through the Tyler ISD Foundation. By partnering with local organizations, UHCU helps direct community generosity toward students and families who can benefit from additional support as they prepare for the school year.
At UHCU, supporting our community goes beyond banking,” said Chelsea Schrimpf, Chairman of the United Heritage Charity Foundation. “We are incredibly grateful to our employees, members and community supporters who donated school supplies and helped us make a difference for local students and families. These contributions may seem simple, but they can have a meaningful impact on a child’s ability to start the school year prepared and confident.”
UHCU remains committed to giving back to the communities it serves through partnerships, volunteer efforts, and donation drives that address local needs throughout Central and East Texas.
