Community Involvement
Committed to Our Community
Community Outreach
At United Heritage Credit Union, our mission is “People Helping People.” This philosophy goes beyond our front doors and extends into the communities we serve. We strive to go above and beyond to show you that we’re more than just a credit union – we’re a positive force in your community.
United Heritage Charity Foundation
The United Heritage Charity Foundation continues this philosophy by supporting local charities and organizations. To learn more about their initiatives in the community, visit the United Heritage Charity Foundation website.
Team United Heritage
United Heritage Credit Union is fortunate that our employees find value in working to improve the Central and East Texas communities in which they live and work. It is this shared motivation that leads many staff members to join Team United Heritage, a group of Credit Union employees that regularly volunteers their time and resources to support a variety of local charitable organizations and initiatives. Events and organizations Team United Heritage has worked with in the past include:
- Austin Science Education Foundation
- BookSpring Literacy Council
- Center for Child Protection
- Empty Bowl Project
- Keep Austin Beautiful
- Kids Matter International
- Literacy Council of Tyler
- Neighborhood Longhorns Program
- Special Olympics
- University of Texas Charter School System

United Heritage is your foundation of economic well-being. While there is a lot of talk of being here for you, we mean it. We are expanding our services and offerings while others are scaling back. At our branches, we understand that it may be difficult to handle some financial transactions via the drive-thru, so we launched curbside service in March to take care of those with items that may take a bit longer. Our lending teams have done whatever they can to support members with their auto loans and have been working hard to help those who need to purchase a car. We have also expanded our real estate loan products so that we can help those who are facing lenders that are scaling back on lending and the types of loans that they offer. We have the lowest home loan rates in our history, interest only and no mortgage insurance options.
