We know this is a stressful time for everyone with a lot of uncertainty. In order to ease some worries for our members, we wanted to remind you of a few important factors about United Heritage Credit Union and the financial institution system as a whole.
As always, the safest place for your funds right now is in the financial institution systems. UHCU is designated as an Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce. This means the government is promoting the ability of such workers to continue to work during periods of community restriction, access management, social distancing, or closure orders/directives.
UHCU will continue to provide members with access to their funds directly or electronically. UHCU also continues to remain available to our members through our drive-thru lanes, as well as by appointment in several of our lobbies.
Also, please keep in mind that as a federally-insured financial institution, all of your deposits are insured up to $250,000 and backed by the full faith and credit of the federal government. See the NCUA's website for more information.
We encourage you to keep your funds in a financial institution in order to avoid loss of NCUA insurance coverage for cash withdrawn, possible exposure to contaminants present on currency, loss of interest for interest-bearing accounts and more.
